1. Bureau of Indian Standards Applications are invited from Eligible Candidates for filling up the under mentioned posts in BIS.

The prescribed Bureau of Indian Standards qualification and experience is minimum and mere possessing of the same does not entitle candidate to be considered for the post. BIS may restrict the number of candidates to a reasonable limit for considering on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the BIS advertisement.
Decision of the BIS in all matters regarding eligibility, conduct of tests / interview, selection and posting shall be final and binding on all candidates. No representation or correspondence will be entertained by the Bureau in this BIS regard.
Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
2. Place of Work for Bureau of Indian Standards Jobs:
The selected candidates will be liable to serve anywhere in India. Therefore, only the candidates willing to work anywhere in India, need apply for Bureau of Indian Standards Recruitment.
3. Reservation for Assistant Director Jobs in BIS:
"Interlocking Reservation will be provided to PH Candidates as per Govt. of India Instructions". Handicapped persons with minimum 40% disability can apply for competing for the post advertised.
4. Allowances and other benefits for BIS Recruitment 2010:
The candidates recruited shall be entitled for Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, Leave, Medical benefits, etc. as per Central Government Rules.
5. Bureau of Indian Standards Recruitment 2010 Application Form for Assistant Director Jobs:
Candidates satisfying the conditions of eligibility as on 01 Jan 2010 shall submit their applications shall be either handwritten in bold capitals or typewritten on A4 size paper only.
The candidates may download the Bureau of Indian Standards application format from BIS website www.bis.org.in.
The BIS application should be properly signed. Those in service (Government / Semi Government / Public Sector Undertakings or Enterprises / Autonomous Organizations, etc) should apply through their employers.
The complete BIS application along with the attested copies of certificates relating to age, caste / category, qualifications, experience, etc should be sent to the following Bureau of Indian Standards address within 45 days from the date of publication of this BIS advertisement.

BIS Application received after the last date shall be summarily rejected. Bureau of Indian Standards Delhi will not take any responsibility for delay in receiving the BIS application or loss in post transit and no communication shall be entertained in this connection.
