BHEL Trichy requires Engineering Specialists for Research.

BHEL Tiruchirappalli, a major manufacturing unit of BHEL, India's premier engineering organisation, with a work force of over 10000 employees is establishing a Centre of Excellence in Advance Fabrication Technology at its Welding Research Institute to introduce high productive break through technology in welding and allied areas and a Coal Research Centre with the state of the art equipment to bolster its research and development activities.

Further, its Research and Development efforts requires Specialists to work on Advanced Heat Transfer, Combustion, Nano Sciences and Technology, Numerical Modelling and Artificial Intelligence, etc.

BHEL Trichy is in the look out for Specialists who are Doctorate holders or Post Graduates with experience in Engineering with an indomitable flair for research. The specialisation involved, number of posts, qualifications etc are as follows :

Qualifications and Experience for BHEL Trichy Recruitment 2010 :

Senior Engineer (E2)
Doctorate holders with no Experience Or
Post Graduate in Engineering with minimum 2 years of work experience in the relevant area of specialisation.
34 years
Deputy Manager (E3)
Doctorate holders with 4 years of Experience Or
Post Graduate in Engineering with minimum 6 years of work experience in the relevant area of specialisation.
38 years
Manager (E4)
Doctorate holders with 7 years of Experience Or
Post Graduate in Engineering with minimum 9 years of work experience in the relevant area of specialisation.
41 years

Candidates, who have submitted their PhD thesis for external examination, can apply with a proof to that extent. Their selection / appointment will however be subject to their submission of the PhD certificate.

In addition to Basic Pay they would be entitled to Dearness Allowance (34.8% at present), Perks at 46% of the basic pay in a cafeteria approach, Annual Increment at 3% of the Basic Pay, Performance Related Pay, Free Medical Treatment for Self, Family and Dependant parents, Insurance Cover, Housing in the Company Township or HRA, Leave and encashment of Earned Leave, Contributory Provident Fund, Group Insurance, Gratuity, etc.

Deputy Manager (E3) Rs. 32900 - 58000
Manager (E4) Rs. 36600 - 62000

Reservations & Relaxations :

  • Out of 19 vacancies stated above, 10 are Unreserved, 5 are reserved for OBC (Non Creamy Layer), 3 are reserved for SC and 1 for ST. Out of the total vacancies 1 is reserved for PH (Locomotor) candidates. Definition of Locomotor Disability (Orthopaedically Disabled) for reservation of Physically Disabled candidates is as under the Persons with disability (Equal opportunities, protection of rights and Full participation) act 1995".
  • "The Physically challenged candidates are required to furnish medical certificate in relation to the disability from Government Hospital or Medical Board attached to the special employment exchange for the disabled".

  • A relaxation of 5 years for SC and ST candidates, 3 years for OBC (Non creamy Layer) candidates, 10 years for Physically Challenged candidates and as per rules for Ex-servicemen and candidates domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1/1/1980 to 31/12/1989.
  • Vacancies reserved for OBC category are meant only for candidates coming under "Non-Creamy Layer". Non Creamy Layer means the gross annual income of parents of the candidates should not exceed Rs. 4.5 Lacs in the last three consecutive years in line with DOPT OM No: 36033/3/2004-Estt (Res) dated 14th October, 2008.
