BHEL has a wide network of 14 manufacturing divisions, 4 Power Sector regions, 8 Service centers and 15 regional offices.
BHEL, HEP, Bhopal has requirement for the post of Draftsman mechanical as follows:-

Out of the above 30 posts, 05 are reserved for SCs, 07 are reserved for STs and 04 are reserved for OBCs(Non creamy layer).
Reservation for Physically Challenged and Ex-Servicemen will be as per the rules. Out of the total number of vacancies, 04 vacancies are reserved for Physically challenged candidates with hearing impairment (Partially Deaf).
The number of vacancies are tentative and may vary on review. In that eventuality, the number of vacancies reserved for various categories may also undergo revision.
Qualifications
Matric / High School /10th / SSLC plus ITI/ National Trade Certificate (NTC) plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in Draughtsman (Mechanical) trade only with not less than 60% marks for General & OBC candidates and not less than 55% marks for SC and ST candidates, in both ITI/NTC & NAC.
Age limit
- The cutoff date for calculating the upper age limit & experience if applicable will be 01/05/2009.
- The candidates in all the categories should not be less than 18 years of age.
- The upper age limit will be 27 years for all candidates as on the cutoff date.
Relaxations
Relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) and 3 years for Other Backward classes (non creamy layer) is permissible.
An additional relaxation of 10 years in upper age limit for Physically challenged Candidates is admissible i.e., relaxation in Upper age limit will be 10 years for General, 13 years for Other Backward Class and 15 years for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates.
Ex. Servicemen will be given age relaxation as per the extant Goverment rules.
A relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit is also admissible to candidates who were ordinarily domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989.
Relaxation in upper age limit is permissible corresponding to the years of experience 'subject to a maximum of 7 years to the candidates having relevant experience of working directly or through contractor in a public sector or private sector organisation with an annual turnover of atleast Rs.150 Crores during 2007-08. This age relaxation is available to candidates having aforesaid experience of atleast 50 months of continuous or intermittent service for availing 7 years of relaxation and on pro-rata basis for less than 7 years of relaxation.
