Recruitment of Medical Officer (Homeopathy) & Homeopathic Pharmacists in E.S.I. Corporation

Applications in the prescribed form (available at website of the ESI Corporation www.esic.nic.in) are invited for filling up of following posts in ESI Hospitals / Dispensaries in Delhi/ NCR & Jaipur.

Number of vacancies can vary at the time of selection.

Scale of Pay:

1. Medical Officer (Homeopathy) - Pre-revised- Rs. 8000-275-13,500/- plus non-practicing allowance as admissible to analogous posts in the Central Health Service. Revised pay (after implementation of 6th C.P.C.) PB-03, Rs.15600-39100/- plus Grade Pay Rs.6600/-
2. Homeopathic Pharmacist – Pre-revised – Rs.4500-7000/-. Revised pay (after implementation of 6th C.P.C.) PB-1, Rs.5200-20200/- plus Grade Pay Rs.2800/-.

Age Limit:

1. Medical Officer (Homeopathy) - Not exceeding 30 years (relaxable up to 05 years for regular employees’ of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation and Govt. servant in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Govt.). Further, age relaxation is also available for SC/ ST/OBC/PH/ Ex. Servicemen & other categories of candidates as per instructions / order of Govt. of India.
2. Homeopathic Pharmacist- Not exceeding 27 years (relaxable up to 05 years for regular employees’ of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation and Govt. servant in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Govt.). Further, age relaxation is also available for SC/ ST/OBC/PH/ Ex. Servicemen & other categories of candidates as per instructions / order of Govt. of India.

Note: The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date of receipt of applications i.e. 29-06-2009

Educational & Other Qualifications:

Medical Officer (Homeopathy)

Essential

1. Degree in Homeopathy of Recognized University / Statutory State Board / Council or equivalent recognized under the Homeopathic Central Council Act, 1973 (59 of 1973).
2. Enrolment on the Central register of Homeopathy or a State register of Homeopathy.
3. Language Test: The candidate shall have to pass a qualifying test of middle standard in the official language of the state concerned where the vacancies are notified.

Homeopathic Pharmacist

1. Senior Secondary or Equivalent.
2. At least two years experience as a Homeopathic Pharmacist in a Govt. or recognized Private Homeopathic Hospital / Dispensary or three experiences under a registered Homeopathic practitioner.

How to apply:

Candidates may apply in the prescribed form (available at website of the ESI Corporation www.esic.nic.in). Application complete in all respects and enclosing attested copies of the certificates / testimonials mentioned below are to be sent in a cover superscribed “Application for the post of__________________”, Region Applied For____________________”, by Registered Post / Speed Post so as to reach The Jt. Medical Officer (Recruitment) E.S.I. Corporation, Panchdeep Bhawan, C.I.G. Marg, New Delhi-110 002 as per following instructions.

1. One additional recent passport size photograph duly attested by Group ‘A’ / Group ‘B’ Gazetted Officer, with one photograph pasted on the application form.
2. Attested copies of certificates and testimonials in proof of age/date of birth, educational qualifications, experience etc.
3. Attested copy of community / status certificate in prescribed form in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH category. Candidates claiming reservation/age relaxation on the grounds of belonging to OBC should submit the community certificate in prescribed proforma circulated vide Govt. of India, Deptt. of Personnel & Training O.M. No. 36012/22/93/Estt. (SCT) dated 15-11-93 failing which the benefit of reservation or age relaxation will not be given.
4. Two self addressed envelopes of size 23 x 10 cms.
5. Candidates employed in Govt./Semi Govt./Autonomous bodies should send their applications through proper channel. However, they may send an advance copy of their application along with demand draft and other certificates and testimonials before the stipulated date.

Fee: Application has to be submitted along with a Demand Draft as detailed below:

1. For Medical Officer (Homeopathy) - General/OBC Candidates Rs.225/- (Rupees Two hundred twenty five only) and for SC / ST Candidates RS.125/- (Rupees One hundred twenty five only)
2. For Homeopathic Pharmacist – General / OBC Candidates Rs.75/- (Rupees Seventy five only). Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH/ Ex. Servicemen are exempted from the payment of above fee. Departmental candidates are exempted from payment subject to enclosing certificate of service from the ESI Hospital / Dispensary.

The D.D. should be drawn in favour of ‘E.S.I. Corporation’ on the State Bank of India, payable at New Delhi. Payment of fee by any other mode will not be accepted.

Note: The application and other documents should be arranged in the following order, one below the other and tagged tightly or stappled on the left hand side top corner:

1. Demand Draft
2. One additional photograph.
3. Application form.
4. Attested copies of certificates.
5. Self addressed envelopes.

Note: The demand draft should not be tagged or stapled but should be pinned or clipped at the top of the application form. The name and address of the candidate and the post applied for should be written on reverse of the demand draft.

Mode of Selection:

1. The selection for the post of Medical Officer (Homeopathy) will be made on the basis of written test (objective type) followed by interview of those candidates who qualify the written test.
2. The selection for the post of Homeopathic Pharmacist shall be made on the basis of written test / interview or both.

Centre of Examination: The examination shall be conducted at Delhi for the vacancies of Delhi / NCR region & at Jaipur for the vacancies of Jaipur region. However ESIC reserves the right to change the examination centre, if need be.

The result of the written test and result after interview will be published in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar or any other national /local daily and no inquiry or correspondence in this regard will be entertained. No TA/DA will be paid to any candidate including SC/ST candidates for appearing in the written test.

General Conditions:

1. Mere submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate for being called for written test/interview.
2. A candidate should submit one application only. Submission of more than one application may lead to rejection of all applications submitted.
3. Application should be submitted in the prescribed form only. It should be filled up in block/capital letters in the candidates own handwriting.
4. Incomplete or Unsigned applications or the applications received without the certified copies of mark sheets/certificates of educational qualification, examination fee, caste and photographs and those received after the last date of receipt of applications will summarily be rejected without any communication to the candidate.
5. The centre of examination once opted will not be allowed to be changed.
6. Wrong declarations/submission of false information or any other action contrary to law shall lead to cancellation of the candidature at any stage.
7. ESIC will not be responsible for postal delays.

Caution: Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
