SC : Scheduled Caste

ST : Scheduled Tribe

OBC : Other backward Classes

HI : Hearing impairment

OH : Orthopadically Handicapped.

The number of vacancies as mentioned above are provisional and may vary according to the actual requirement of the Bank.

1. Eligibility Criteria for UBI Recruitment 2010:

A) Nationality / Citizenship

A candidate must be either :

1. a citizen of India (or)
2. a subject of Nepal (or)
3. a subject of Bhutan (or)
4. a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India (or)
5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania ( formerly Tanganyka and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) or (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility in necessary may be admitted to the interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate have been issued to him by the Govt. of India.

B) Educational Qualification and Experience:

Educational Qualification for UBI Recruitment 2010 :

A graduate from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Govt. of India.

Experience:

1. 5 years as commissioned officer (in Army, Navy or Air Force) / Class - I officer in the paramilitary forces and
2. at the time of release / retirement should be in the rank of Capt./ Major (equivalent in Indian Navy / Air Force) or in the rank of Asstt. Commandant or equivalent in paramilitary Forces.

Note:

1. Education Qualification and Post Qualification Experience should be as on 01.01.2010.
2. Experience in the relevant field of the post applied for will only be considered and counted from the date of acquiring the experience upto 01.01.2010.
3. Candidates whose result is awaited are not eligible.

2) Relaxation Upper Age Limit:

1. Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates by 5 years.
2. Ex - Servicemen by 3 Years (in addition to the usual period of service in the Defence forces subject to a maximum age of 50 years).
3. Other Backward Class Candidates by 3 years.
4. A person who had originally been domicile in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during 01/01/1980 to 31/12/2989 by 5 years.

Note:

1. An Ex - Serviceman who has joined a Government job on the civil side after availing of the benefits given to him as an Ex - Serviceman for his re - employment, his ex - serviceman status for the purpose of re - employment in Government ceases.
2. The relaxation in upper age limit is cumulative as per Govt. of India guidelines.
3. All persons eligible for age relaxation under 3 (iv) above must produce the domicile certificate at the time of Interview from the District Magistrate in the Kashmir Division within whose jurisdiction he / she had originally resided or any other Authority designated in this regard by the Govt. of J & K to the effect that candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during 1st January 1980 to the 31st December, 1989.

3) Application Fee including Postal Charges

Note :(i) Requisite application fee must be paid by means of Bank Pay Order / Bank Draft issued by a Scheduled Commercial Bank payable at Kolkata in favour of "United Bank Of India Specialist Officer Recruitment Project - 2010".

4) United Bank of India Recruitment 2010 Selection Procedure :

The selection will be made on the basis of interview. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms do not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. The Bank reserves the right to call only the requisite number of candidates for the interview alter preliminary screening / short listing with reference to candidates qualification, suitability, experience etc.

5) Pay Scale:

Rs. 13820 - 500 ( 1) - 14320 - 560 (10) - 19920.

DA, HRA, CCA etc. will be paid as per Bank's rules in force from time to time depending upon the place of posting. Medical, LTC, Pension, P.F., Gratuity etc. will be admissible as per Bank's rules. (Scale of Pay is due for upward revision).

6) Probation :2 years.

The guidelines for filling Applications are as under :

• The candidates should have their Demand Draft / Bank Pay Order payable at Kolkata favouring United Bank of India Specialist Officer Recruitment Project - 2010. Without DD detail, application will not be entertained.
• A recent photograph should be pasted on the application with signature across it.
• Candidates name and date of birth should be written on the reverse of Demand Draft / Bank Pay Order.

Note :

1. Application must be accompanied by : (i) Bank Draft / Bank Pay Order and (ii) copies of under mentioned certificates (only attested)
1. Secondary School Certificate / School leaving certificate or any other documentary proof of age.
2. Mark sheets (year wise ) showing specifically the subject studied and certificates in respect of educational qualification viz. SSLC, HSC, Graduate Degree etc.
3. Experience certificates specifying designation, job profiles, period of service ( with specific dates, emoluments, activity profile of previous and present employers etc.
