UBI Recruitment 2009 Selection Procedure

Merely satisfying the eligibility norms and sending the application in time does not entitle a candidate to be called for written test & / or interview. Eligible candidates will be considered for selection process, as under:

** The Group Exercise clause is added to take care of unusually huge number of Applications Selection process may vary depending upon the number of responses received against each post.

Written Test :

1. The Written test will comprise of Objective tests on Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and English Language and also a Descriptive Paper on Professional Knowledge/ Subject.
2. The question papers except of the Objective test of English Language will be in bilingual (i.e. Hindi & English).
3. Only the candidates who qualify in objective and descriptive papers and Group Exercises (where applicable) and also are high in merit rank will be called for personal interview. Final selection will be made on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the written test, Group Exercises (if Applicable) & Interview and will be strictly on merit basis.
4. The written test will be held on 29-11-2009 (Sunday)
5. Date of examination is tentative. The exact dates will be communicated to the candidates through call letter for each examination. The Bank, however, reserves the right to cancel or make any change in the date of examination, if need arises.
6. For recruitment of Officers (Post Code 05, 07, 08 & 09) the written test will be held at the following Centers. The address of the Venues will be advised in the Call Letter.

7. The Bank, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the Centers and / or add other Centers, depending on the response, administrative feasibility etc. The Bank also reserves the right to allot the candidate to any Center other than the one he / she has opted for. The Bank also holds the right to waive any of the criteria for selection depending on the corporate requirement and exigency.
8. The Bank also reserves the right to hold written examination, Group Exercises and / or interview at its discretion for posts advertised. Bank also reserves the right to short-list limited number of candidates for posts advertised on the basis of either age, qualification, work experience or any other suitable criteria.

Call Letters for Written Examination :

Eligible candidates will be issued call letters at their address for communication mentioned in the application form by ordinary post. An eligible candidate who does not receive the call letter for the written examination by 23-11-2009 may download the same from Bank's website www.unitedbankofindia.com or can contact the following addresses of the centres on or after 24-11-2009 along with the Xerox copy of the application form , details of Demand Draft, one copy of photograph etc. for obtaining duplicate call letters.
