UBI Recruitment 2009 Eligibility

Nationality / Citizenship

A candidate must be either

  1. A citizen of India or
  2. A subject of Nepal or
  3. A subject of Bhutan or
  4. A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East Africa Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyka and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) or (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility in necessary may be admitted to the interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate have been issued to him Government of India.

Educational Qualification and Post Qualification Experience:

Credit OfficerSMG Scale IV
A Graduate or Post graduate in any discipline from any recognized university with a minimum mark of 55% in aggregate in either Graduation or Post Graduation. 5% relaxation available to candidates belonging to the SC / ST / PWD candidates.
CAIIB / CA / ICWA / CFA / MBA (Finance) from any recognized university
5 years verifiable experience in Finance / Credit department in Scheduled Commercial Bank / Financial Institutions out of which 2 years as MMG Scale III. Knowledge of Computer is desirable.
MMG Scale III
A Graduate or Post graduate in any discipline from any recognized university with a minimum mark of 55% in aggregate in either Graduation or Post Graduation. 5% relaxation available to candidates belonging to the SC / ST / PWD candidates.
CAIIB / CA / ICWA / CFA / MBA (Finance) from any recognized university
3 years verifiable experience in Finance / Credit department in Scheduled Commercial Bank/ Financial Institutions out of which 1 year as MMG Scale II. Knowledge of Computer is desirable.
MMG Scale II
A Graduate or Post graduate in any discipline from any recognized university with a minimum mark of 55% in aggregate in either Graduation or Post Graduation. 5% relaxation available to candidates belonging to the SC / ST / PWD candidates.
CAIIB / CA / ICWA / CFA / MBA (Finance) from any recognized university
2 years verifiable experience in Finance / Credit department in Scheduled Commercial Bank/ Financial Institutions. Knowledge of Computer is desirable.
Forex OfficerSMG Scale IV
Min 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in Graduation (5% relaxation available to candidates belonging to the SC / ST / PWD category) and CA / CFA / MBA (Finance)
CAIIB
5 years verifiable experience in Forex department in Scheduled Commercial Bank out of which 2 years as MMG Scale III. Knowledge of Computer is desirable.
MMG Scale II
Min 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in Graduation (5% relaxation available to candidates belonging to the SC / ST / PWD category) and CA / CFA / MBA (Finance)
CAIIB
2 years verifiable experience in Forex department in Scheduled Commercial Bank. Knowledge of Computer is desirable.
FacultyMMG Scale III
A Graduate or Post graduate in any discipline from any recognized university with a minimum mark of 55% in either Graduation or Post Graduation. 5% relaxation available to candidates belonging to the SC / ST / OBC / PWD category.
CAIIB / MBA (Finance) from a recognized University / PHD in finance / Market Research
Must have 5 years verifiable experience in Banking industry / Financial Institutions out of which 2 years as Faculty in Staff Training College in Scheduled Commercial Bank / Financial Institutions. Knowledge of Computer is desirable.
Equity Research AnalystMMG Scale II
A Graduate or Post graduate in any discipline from any recognized university with a minimum mark of 55% in either Graduation or Post Graduation. 5% relaxation available to candidates belonging to the SC / ST / OBC / PWD category.
CA / CFA / MBA (Finance) from a recognized University
Must have 2-4 years (Minimum 2 years) verifiable experience in Business Research , financial research, Investment research, equity research / modeling.
IT OfficerMMG Scale III
1. B.E. / B.Tech (4 years full time degree course) in Computer Science / Electronics & Telecommunication / Information Technology or or Post Graduate in Computer Science / Information Technology / Electronics & Communications / Mathematics / Statistics / Operational Research as full time regular student / MCA from a recognized University / Institute recognized by Government of India with a minimum of 60% marks or
2. First Class 3 years full time Science Graduates with Mathematics as one of the subjects in 10+2 from a recognized University having passed DOEACC 'B' level. Additional higher qualification such as M.Tech & MBA (systems) will be given preference.
Candidates having certification in OCA / OCP / CISA / CISCO / CCNA / ITIL and exposure in the following areas will get preference:-
1. Managing Complex Banking / Financial applications like CBS, Other applications like Asset Liability Management, Anti Money Laundering, Data ware housing, Transfer Pricing, CRM etc.
2.Database management and administration
3.Operating system management and administration
4.Vendor / SLA management
5. Data Centre management
For Qualification 1 - Not less than 3 years in reputed Commercial / IT organization / Bank / financial Institutions with minimum 1 year experience in development, maintenance, support etc. of software meant for BFSI sector and CBS in particular in Scale II or its equivalent in Techno Managerial cadre in Bank/ financial Institution / Govt./ Public Sector / IT organization.
For Qualification 2 - Not less than 5 years experience out of which at least 3 years experience should be in Scale II or its equivalent in Techno Managerial cadre in Bank / financial Institution / Government/ Public Sector / IT organization in development, maintenance, support etc. of software meant for BFSI sector and CBS in particular.
For both the above, teaching / call centre related experience will not be considered and the applicant/candidate should have high degree of proficiency in any two or more in the following areas :
1. Exposure in CBS (Finacle) / Banking Software Application;
2. Software Acquisition / Development;
3. Hardware Acquisition / Development;
4. Different Operating systems & RDBMS with emphasis in Oracle;
5. Proficiency in Front End Development Tools like Developer 2000, Visual Studio etc.;
6. Knowledge in ASP / PHP / Java / C++ / Cobol;
7. Networking & Communication;
8. Unix / Windws NT / Windows 2003 based hardware;
9. Banking Delivery Channels (ATM, Tele-Banking, Internet Banking, and fax Banking, e-Banking, m-Banking, Payment Gateway) Management;
10. System Audit;
11. Data Warehousing & Mining;
12. Management Information System;
13. Cyber Security Management / IT Security Implementation.

13.Cyber Security Management / IT Security Implementation.

Note :

  1. Educational Qualification and Post Qualification Experience should be as on 01-07-2009.
  2. Experience in the relevant field of the post applied for will only be considered and counted from the date of acquiring the post-qualification experience up to the prescribed date.
