Union Bank Recruitment Project 2007 Selection Procedure
Method of Selection:
The Candidate will be shortlisted for selection on the basis of a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview.
Compensation & Perquisites Package:
(1) An 'all-inclusive' Fixed Annual Compensation Package of Rs.10.00 lacs per annum, to be paid on a monthly pro-rata basis, after deduction of statutory and other dues. No other allowances &/or perquisites, or advances, or leave encashment, or service, or welfare or retiral benefits like Provident Fund, Gratuity or Pension, except those stated in (2) below, shall be payable.
(2) Reimbursement of (a) Expenses (TA/DA) on Outstation Travel on Duty as applicable to Officers in TEGS-VII; (b) Telephone / Mobile Cell phone (Air time / Call charges) to the extent of Rs.2000.00 per month).
(3) Paid Leave @ 2 days for each completed month of service, maximum 24 days over a period of 12 months, with carry forward facilities of accumulated leave. The accumulated leave will not be encashable. Leave may be availed of not exceeding 6 days at a stretch. Any other absence shall be treated as on Loss of Pay.
(2). Post Code - 02 : Assistant General Manager(Cash Management Services) (SMGS-V)
Educational Qualifications for Union Bank Assistant General Manager Exam:
(1) Graduate Degree with 50% marks in the aggregate, from a reputed UCG recognised University; or a Post Graduate MBA Degree or equivalent Diploma in Marketing from a reputed UCG recognised University / AICTE accredited Institution.
(2) Certificate for having completed Computer Awareness & Office Automation Course for duration of minimum 60 hours from a Computer Training Institute.
Work Experience:
Post-Qualification work experience of a minimum of 5 years in handling Cash Management Services (CMS) products with reference to Marketing and Corporate Relationships in a Bank, of which at least 2 years at a Senior Management level, in the rank equivalent to a Chief Manager in a Public Sector Bank. The candidate should have been exposed to various CMS and related General Banking Software and should have been associated with innovative products like Channel Financing, Receivable Management, ERP Linkages, Post-Dated Cheque Management, etc.
Job Content:
The candidate shall be heading and guiding a team of Senior Officers for laying down policy framework, overseeing implementation and monitoring of the Division located at Central Office, Mumbai, under the overall policy framework of the Bank. He / She will be responsible for marketing and development of CMS products as per market needs, implementing marketing strategies, credit appraisal and sanctioning product specific limits for various CMS clients.

(3). Post Code – 03: Assistant General Manager (Information Security) (SMGS-V)
Educational Qualifications for Union Bank Assistant General Manager Exam:
(1) B.E. / B. Tech. Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / Electronics & Communications with 55% marks in the aggregate, from a reputed UCG recognised University.
Certification in Information Systems Audit (ISA / CISA / DISA) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) would be desirable.
Work Experience:
Post-Qualification work experience of a minimum of 10 years in the field of Information Technology of which 3 years in the area of Information Technology Security / IT Security Audit with exposure in securing financial transactions and managing IT Security Infrastructure comprising of multi-layered firewalls, IDS, incident handling, ethical hacking, etc.
Job Content:
The candidate shall be responsible for reviewing of IT Security Policy and its implementation, IT Security Architecture Review on the basis of environmental analysis, threats discovered and vulnerabilities found, assist in procurement and installation of Security Devices to create a secured environment, administer 24 x 7 Monitoring of Security Devices, issuing security guidelines, creating user awareness by conducting Workshops and releasing Newsletters, and ensuring compliances to RBI, Government of India, Cert-in Guidelines and IS Audit of IT Security.

(4). Post Code – 04 : Company Secretary (SMGS-V)
Educational Qualifications for Union Bank Company Secretary Exam:
(1) A Graduate Degree with 60% marks from a reputed UCG recognised University; (2) Associate Membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ACS) and (3) Certificate for having completed Computer Awareness & Office Automation Course for duration of minimum 60 hours from a Computer Training Institute.
Candidates possessing additional qualifications of Law (LL.B) & / or Chartered Accountancy (ACA) will be given preference.
Work Experience:
Post-Qualification work experience of a minimum of 5 years in Investor Relations, Secretarial Matters, Statutory Compliances, etc.
Job Content:
The candidate shall be based in Mumbai and shall be attending to Secretarial duties / functions and will be nominated as "Compliance Officer" for various statutory requirements in terms of Clause 47(a) of the Listing Arrangement. He will also act as the Secretary to the Audit Committee of the Board as required under Clause 49(11) of the Listing Agreement.

The Candidate will be shortlisted for selection on the basis of a Personal Interview.
(5). Post Code - 05 : Customer Relationship Executive (CRE)
Educational Qualifications for Union Bank Customer Relationship Executive Exam:
(1) A Graduate Degree with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate (45% for Reserved Category Candidates) from a UCG recognised University; (2) A Degree or Diploma in Marketing Management with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate (45% for Reserved Category Candidates), from an AICTE accredited institution; (3) A Certificate for having completed a Course in Computer Awareness & Office Automation for duration of minimum 60 hours from a reputed Computer Training Institute.
Work Experience:
Minimum 1 year's experience in a Private / Public Sector Bank in marketing / selling of Financial Products, including Home Loans / Retail Loans / High Value Loan Products / Personal Banking Products / Deposits / Insurance / Mutual Funds / Technology based Products.
Job Content:
Sales & Marketing of Bank's Asset & Liability Products as well as Third Party Financial Products under tie-ups with Third Parties. The candidate is expected to be extensively mobile and tap new sources for increasing the Bank's clientele. The candidate should possess a proven track record and should be in a position to achieve the targets assigned to him.
Tenure of Engagement:
On Contract, initially for a period of 2 years, to be reviewed and renewed on the basis of performance for further stints, each of 2 years.
Method of Selection:
Candidates will be shortlisted for selection on the basis of their performance in a Group Discussion and a Personal Interview. However, depending upon the response received, the Bank may also hold a preliminary Written Test to short list candidates, based on merit in the said Test, for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
The selection will be on the basis of an All India Merit List drawn up separately for each of the SC, ST, OBC, and Unreserved (GEN) Categories.
