How to Apply for Union Bank Recruitment Project 2007



10. How to Apply for Union Bank Vice President Exam:

A. (i) Download the Prescribed Application Form, from the Bank’s Website http://www.unionbankofindia.com under the head "Careers" and print it on A-4 size paper only, with appropriate page breaks. Neatly Type or legibly Hand Write in English in capital letters and ensure it is properly and completely filled in and contains no corrections / alterations / overwriting. Applicants will note that Pre-Printed Application forms not Meeting these Specifications (Prescribed format on A-4 Size paper with appropriate page breaks) will not be accepted.

(ii) A recent passport size photograph bearing full signature of the candidate across the same with date should be pasted at right hand top corner at the space provided in the Application Form.

(iii) The Application Form should be accompanied by :

(a) Demand Draft (DD) / Banker’s Cheque / Bank Pay Order (PO) for Rs.300.00 (Rs.75.00 for SC / ST / PWD candidates) drawn in favour of "Union Bank Recruitment Project" and payable at Mumbai only and valid for 6 months from date of issue, bearing on the reverse of the DD / PO details of (1) Candidate’s Name, (2) Post Name & Post Code, (3) Date of Birth and (4) Candidate’s Address, and

(b) Photocopies of

(1) Birth Certificate or School Leaving Certificate or SSC / HSC Certificate with Date of Birth mentioned therein;

(2) Convocation Degree Certificates in respect of passing Graduate Degree & Post Graduate Degree (Provisional Certificate will be accepted only if the candidate has passed the relevant examination during the past one year and the University has not issued the convocation certificate to its students passing the course)

(3) Year-wise / Semester-wise Marks Sheets for the Graduate & Post Graduate Degree or Professional Course, (4) Medical Certificate in case of PWD Candidates (5) SC / ST Caste Certificate / OBC Certificate with "Non-Creamy Layer Clause" based on income of Financial Year 2005-2006 (6) Work Experience Certificates.

(iv) Candidates serving in Government / Public Sector Undertaking (including Banks & Financial Institutions) should send their applications only through proper channel (through their present employer) and should be accompanied by a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer, in the absence of which their candidature will not be considered.

Candidates applying through proper channel may, should they so desire, also send an Advance Photocopy of the Application along with the original Demand Draft / Pay Order and other documents, to reach within the stipulated time clearly stating that the original application has already been submitted through proper channel with the date of such submission. The acceptance of the Advance Copy will be subject to receiving the Original Application through Proper Channel.

(v) Candidates serving in non-Government organisations while sending their applications should ensure that they submit a Work Experience Certificate from their present employers clearly stating the period and nature of employment/duties along with their Application.

(vi) Applications not accompanied by photocopies of relevant certificates, where necessary, or the requisite fee or not in prescribed format or not containing the 'declaration' clause or not signed by the candidate or not bearing the candidate's photograph pasted firmly at the specified place or incomplete in any respect will not be entertained and will be summarily rejected.

(vii) It is for the candidate to ensure that he / she has met with the eligibility criteria and complied with the requirements and adhered to the instructions contained in this advertisement as well as the application form. Candidates are therefore urged to carefully read the advertisement and complete the application form and submit the same as per instructions given in this regard.

(viii) A Candidate may apply for more than 1 Post provided he / she meets with the eligibility criteria set out for the post and submits separate Application Forms with separate Application Fees and Photocopies of Documents for each such post applied.

B. The Application Form for each Post, complete in all respects, should be sent only by ordinary post in a closed envelope superscripted "Application for the post of ____________________ (Post Code ___ ) in Union Bank of India ", to the following address:

Union Bank Recruitment Project – 2007,
Post Office Bag No.9952,
Nariman Point Post Office,
Mumbai - 400021.

Applications sent to any of the Bank's Branches or other offices and addresses other than the abovementioned post bag number by ordinary post or those applications sent to the post bag number through courier or by registerd post or speed post or by hand delivery will not be accepted.

12. Last Date for Receipt of Applications:

The 6 Page Application Form in the prescribed format on A-4 Size Paper, along with the prescribed Application Fees and the photocopies of the prescribed Documents, should reach the specified post bag not later than 15.09.2007.

The 6 Page Application Form in the prescribed format on A-4 Size Paper, along with the prescribed Application Fees and the photocopies of the prescribed Documents, for those candidates Residing Abroad and for those Posting the application form from far-flung areas of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Minicoy Islands, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of J & K State, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh should reach the specified post bag not later than 22.09.2007.

Applications received after the last dates will not be entertained. Candidates are therefore advised not to wait till the last date to submit their application forms.

The Bank will not be responsible for loss of Application Form in transit or for rejection of Application Form because of its late receipt, i.e., after the last closing date stated above, or for any other reason whatsoever.
