11. Selection Procedure:

All eligible candidates should apply in the prescribed application form given in this advertisement to reach the given address on or before the last date for receipt of applications. Applications received after the last date will not be considered.

a. Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the written test and interview taken together. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms does not entitle a candidate to be called for written test or interview. The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be printed in bilingual i.e., English & Hindi.

b. The written test will be of Objective type consisting.

• General Awareness
• General English
• Quantitative Aptitude
• Reasoning Ability
• Marketing Aptitute / Computer Knowledge(vi) Psychometry There will be negative marks for the wrong answers in the Objective tests. Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests. Candidates in the ratio of 3 times the number of vacancies will be called for interview on the basis of order of merit, subject to their having secured at least 40% overall of marks (35% for SC / ST / PWD) in (i), (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above besides obtaining pass marks in each objective type test. In Psychometry test, candidates have to secure 50% marks (45% for SC / ST / PWD) which will be qualifying in nature. The marks in Psychometry test will not be considered for arriving at the merit list. Merit list will be drawn up Bank-wise (state-wise)

Note:

• Other detailed information regarding the written examination will be given in the ‘Acquaint Yourself’ booklet, which will be made available to the eligible candidates alongwith the call letter for the test.
• Interviews: Depending upon the number of vacancies only certain number of candidates from amongst those who qualify by ranking high enough in the merit will be called for interview and / or proficiency test. The candidates, who qualify for interview must secure minimum marks of 40% (35% for SC / ST / PWD) to be considered for selection. Final selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the written test and interview taken together.

12. Date of written examination: 06th January, 2008(Bank reserves the right to change the date of examination under unforeseen circumstances, if any.)

13. Call letters for written examination:

All eligible candidates will be issued call letters at the correspondence address given by them in their application form, which will be sent by post.

Those candidates who do not receive call letters latest by 31st december, 2007 should contact in person at the address indicated against examination centre opted by the candidate alongwith photocopy of the application & the demand draft. no action is possible if contacted after 3rd january, 2008.

Every candidate should indicate in the application the name of the Bank, the name of the state and the name and code number of the Centre where he / she desires to take the examination. The candidate can apply for vacancies in one Bank / State only and will have to appear for written test from a centre of that particular state.

The candidates will appear for the written examination from a test centre for which he / she has applied at their own expenses and risks and the bank will not be responsible for any injury or losses etc. of any nature. no change in the choice of examination centre will be entertained under any circumstances. bank reserves the right to add or delete any centre or alter examination date at its discretion.

14. The associates Banks may arrange pre-examination training at certain centres for a limited number of SC / ST / Religious Minority Community and XS candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by Government of India. Candidates belonging to the above categories who desire to avail themselves of such training at their own cost may indicate to that effect against item No.11 in the application form. List of training centres given below is indicative.

The concerned Bank has a discretion to conduct training at some additional centres or may delete some of the centres indicated for training.

15. All Expenses Regarding Travelling, boarding, lodging etc. will be borne by the candidates for attending the Pre-Examination Training programme at the concerned Pre-Examination Training Centre.
