How to Apply for State Bank of India Recruitment 20087. SBI Emoluments: Pay: Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years. They will draw a starting basic pay of Rs.11,880/- In the scale of Rs.10,000-470/6-12820-500/3-14320-560/7-18240 applicable to Officers Junior Management Grade Scale I. They will also be eligible for D.A., H.R.A. & C.C.A. as per rules in force from time to time. At present, initial monthly emoluments of Probationary Officers, including D.A., H.R.A. and C.C.A., are approximately Rs.16,850/- at Metropolitan centres. Perquisites:- Bank, traditionally looks after its employees well, entitlement of perquisites are as per extant instructions applicable from time to time viz
- HTC/LFC, Provident Fund/Pension, Medical aid for self and dependents.
- Concessions for Housing / Car / Personal Loans.
- According to market perception, package of a JMGS-I Officer works out to Rs. 4.00 lacs per annum in Mumbai.
Notice - Provisions of pension and provident fund schemes of the Bank are under review and the new entrants may be entitled to only non-contributory provident fund and Defined Contribution Pension. Career Path The Bank may at its discretion, subject to merit and suitability after probation period of a Probationary Officer for future leadership role, to be determined through a screening process, confirm and give placement (fitment) to selected officers in next higher grade i.e. Officers Middle Management Grade Scale II for further leadership role. The Probationary Officers will be on a probation of two years during which they will be given intensive training and towards end of their probation / training period they will be subjected to a screening process. While those Probationary Officers who achieve the pre-determined standards may be confirmed and given placement in the next higher grade i.e. Officer Middle Management Grade Scale II, others who qualify the test but fail to achieve the standards set for placement in Middle Management Grade Scale II, will be confirmed as Officer Junior Management Grade I. The services of those Probationary Officers who fail to qualify this process may be terminated. 8. How to Apply for SBI Recruitment: Candidates should obtain an application kit from identified branches of State Bank of India listed below which will be sold from 08/01/2008 to 16/02/2008: Application kit will contain: i) Scannable Application Form
ii) Pre-addressed envelope in which the application form should be sent by the candidates after affixing postage
iii) Details of information regarding filling in the scannable Application form and also instructions regarding written examination.
iv) Big envelope in which all the above documents will be kept Branches of State Bank of India where scannable Application Forms will be sold.

Application Kits will be available at most of the branches of State Bank of India, especially semiurban and rural branches. Application by any other mode will not be accepted. Application forms without photograph, signature and thumb impression will be rejected. Candidates can obtain the application kit by paying Rs. 250/- (for SC/ST/PWD Rs. 50/- covering postal charges etc.) at any of the branches stated above. The qualifying candidate will have to produce his/her original caste certificates/relevant certificates before the interview takes place, failing which his/her candidature shall be cancelled and he/she will not be admitted for interview. Candidates serving in Government/Quasi Government offices, Public Sector Undertakings including Nationalised Banks and Financial Institutions will be required to submit "No Objection Certificate" from their employer at the time of Group Discussion/Interview, failing which their candidature may not be considered and traveling expenses, if any, otherwise admissible, will not be paid. 9. SBI may arrange pre-examination training at certain centres for a limited number of SC/ST/Religious Minority Community candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by Government of India. Candidates belonging to the above categories who desire to avail themselves of such training at their own cost may indicate to that effect against item Number 12 in the application form. List of training centres given below is indicative. The Bank has a discretion to conduct training at some additional centres or the Bank may delete some of the centres indicated for training.
Last date for receipt of Applications: Application must reach the designated address on or before 16/02/2008. (The applications in respect of candidates residing abroad or in Andaman, Nicobar, Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladakh Division of J & K State, Lahaul and Spiti Districts and Pangi Sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, will be accepted till 23/02/2008) Application received after the last date will not be entertained.
