State Bank of India (Probationary Officers) - Application Fee
7. Emoluments:
Pay: Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years. They will draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 11,880/- in the scale of Rs. 10000-470/6-12820-500/ 3-14320-560/7-18240 applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale I. They will also be eligible for D.A., H.R.A. & C.C.A. as per rules in force from time to time. At present, initial monthly emoluments of Probationary Officers, including D.A., H.R.A. and C.C.A., are approximately Rs. 16,850/- at Metropolitan centres.
Perquisites
Bank, traditionally looks after its employees well, entitlement of perquisites are as per extant instructions applicable from time to time viz.
HTC/LFC, Provident Fund/ Pension, Medical aid for self and dependents
Concession for Housing / Car / Personal Loans
According to market perception, package of a JMGS-I Officer works out to Rs.4.00 lacs per annum in Mumbai.
Notice - Provisions of pension and provident fund schemes of the Bank are under review and the new entrants may be entitled to only non-contributory provident fund and Defined Contribution Pension.
Career Path
The Bank may at its discretion, subject to merit and suitability after probation period of a Probationary Officer for future leadership role, to be determined through a screening process, confirm and give placement (fitment) to selected officers in next higher grade i.e. Officers Middle Management Grade Scale II.
The Probationary Officers will be on a probation of two years during which they will be given intensive training and towards end of their probation / training period they will be subjected to a screening process. While those Probationary Officers who achieve the pre-determined standards may be confirmed and given placement in the next higher grade i.e. Officer Middle Management Grade Scale II, others who qualify the test but fail to achieve the standards set for placement in Middle Management Grade Scale II, will be confirmed as Officer Junior Management Grade I.
The services of those Probationary Officers who fail to qualify this process may be terminated. Bank provides immense opportunities for growth in the Bank and the attractive promotion policy of the Bank provides an opportunity to the meritorious and exceptionally brilliant officers to reach the Top Management Grade in a reasonably quick time.

Fee / Postage once paid will NOT be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
9. SBI may arrange pre-examination training at certain centres for a limited number of SC/ ST/Religious Minority Community candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by Government of India. Candidates belonging to the above categories who desire to avail themselves of such training at their own cost may indicate to that effect against relevant column in the online application form. List of training centres given below is indicative. The Bank has a discretion to conduct training at some additional centres or the Bank may delete some of the centres indicated for training.

10. Action Against Candidates Found Guilty of Misconduct:
Candidates are warned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered/fabricated or should not suppress any material information while filling up the application form.
At the time of written examination/interview, if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty of:
using unfair means during the examination or
impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person or
misbehaving in the examination hall or taking away the question booklet (or any part thereof)/answer sheet from the examination hall or
resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with his/her candidature for selection or
obtaining support for his/her candidature by any unfair means, such a candidate may, in addition to rendering himself/herself liable to criminal prosecution, be liable:
to be disqualified from the examination for which he/she is a candidate.
to be debarred, either permanently or for a specified period, from any examination or recruitment conducted by SBI.
for termination of service, if he/she has already joined the Bank.
