SBI Exam 2009 - Selection Procedure:
Phase - I
Written Examination: Objective Type - Time 2 Hrs. 30 minutes (combined)- Maximum marks-200
Candidates will be called for an objective type examination. The objective type examination will consist of:
Test of English
Test of Data interpretation and analysis
Test of reasoning
Test of Financial Awareness & Marketing. Question paper will be in bilingual form i.e. in Hindi and English except the test of English language.
Descriptive Test of English knowledge - Time 60 Minutes - Maximum marks-50
Candidates who are 40th percentile and above in each of the four tests in the Objective Type examination and with an aggregate 40% minimum (35% minimum for SC/ST/PWD) marks as also 40% (minimum)/ 35% (minimum for SC/ST/PWD) in descriptive examinate will qualify for Group Discussion and Interview. Depending on the number of vacancies, however a merit list of qualified candidates will be drawn up and candidate will be called for the second phase i.e. Group Discussion and Interview in ratio of 1:3 for the vacancies.
Phase - II
Group Discussion & Interview: Maximum Marks-50
The minimum qualifying marks for Group Discussion and Interview shall be 40% (minimum - 20 marks) for General/OBC category candidates: 35% (minimum - 18 marks) for SC/ST/PWD category candidates out of a maximum of 50 combined marks for Group Discussion and Interview.
Final Selection
Candidates will have to pass both in Phase I & II for final selection. Phase -I and Phase - II marks will be aggregated and arranged in the descending order for candidates who have qualified in both the Phases seperately and depending on the vacancies, selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.
Results of the candidates who have qualified for Phase I, Phase II and thereafter the list of candidates finally selected will be available on the Bank's website in addition to publication in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar.
