State Bank of India Recruitment 2009 - Application Form

Eligible candidates should visit any CBS Branch of State Bank of India and pay the requisite fees/Postage into the A/c No.30838646685 and get receipt with Deposit Journal Number from the Branch on the prescribed format given at the end of this advertisement. They should apply on the application as given in the first page of this advertisement.

A recent passport size photograph bearing full signature of the candidate across the same with date, should be pasted at right hand top corner at the space provided in the application. It should also be accompanied by the Cash receipt voucher and attested copies of certificates/testimonials/medical certificate. Candidates are advised not to apply for more than one post.

In order to ensure that the applications and remittances reach well before the closing date, candidates serving in Government/Quasi Government offices, Public Sector undertakings including Nationalized Banks and Financial Institutions are advised to submit their original application form along with the remittance in advance and submit no Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of interview, if call for the same, failing which their candidature may not be considered and traveling expenses, if any, otherwise admissible, will not be paid.

Enclosures to the application : Copies of

School Leaving Certificate or any other documentary proof of age, or where applicable, copy of Discharge Certificate/Retirement, Pension Order and documentary proof of Rank last held. Those who are still in Defence Services should submit a certificate from the Competent Authority that they will be relieved from the Defence Services on or before 31st March 2010.

Caste Certificate issued by Competent Authority on format prescribed by the Government of India in case of SC/ST candidates.

Candidates belonging to OBCs but coming under the 'Creamy Layer' are not entitled to OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as 'GEN' or 'GEN-PH' as applicable. OBC certificates in the format as prescribed by the Government of India and issued by the competent authority inter-alia specifically stating that the candidate does not belong to the socially advanced sections excluded from the benefits of reservations for OBCs in civil posts and services under the Government of India i.e. carrying 'Non Creamy Layer' clause,based on the income for financial year 2008-2009, issued on or after 01' April 2009.

Mark sheets and certificates in support of Educational Qualifications.

Experience certificate(s) specifying Nature and Period of experience should be enclosed, Prescribed fee receipt and attested copies of caste/community certificates, where applicable, must accompany the application. The candidates will have to produce their original caste certificate/relevant certificates before the interview takes place, failing which his/her candidature shall be cancelled and he/she will not be admitted for interview.

Application alongwith cash receipt and above enclosures should be sent in a cover super-scribed 'Application for the Post of ______________________" to reach the following address only:

Applications must be sent to the above address by ordinary post only and not on any other addresses.

Last Date for Receipt of Application :

Applications complete in all respects should reach the above address on or before 30.09.2009, including that for candidates from far flung area. Application received after 30.09.2009 will be rejected.

Action against Candidates Found Guilty of Misconduct :

Candidates are warned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered, fabricated or should not suppress any material information while filling up the application form.

At the time of written examination/interview, if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty of :

  • Using unfair means during the examination or
  • Impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person or
  • Misbehaving in the examination hall or taking away the question booklet/answer sheet from the examination hall or
  • Resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with his/her candidature for selection or
  • Obtaining support for his/her candidature by any means,such a candidate may, in addition to rendering himself/herself liable to criminal prosecution, also be liable:
    1. To be disqualified from the examination for which he/she is a candidate
    2. To be debarred,either permanently or for a specified period,from any examination or recruitment conducted by the Bank.
