SBI Clerical Exam 2009 - Application Form
Candidates are required to go to any CBS Branch of State Bank of India and pay the amount of fees, postage and get receipt from the branch.
The candidates are required to apply online through website www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in No other means/mode of application will be accepted.
The last date of registering applications is 15.09.2009. Application registration on our website will be open from 01.08.2009 to 15.09.2009.
Guidelines for Filling Application are as Under:
Candidates should have a valid email id. This will help him/ her in getting call letter/ interview advices etc. E-mail ID should be kept active during the currency of this recruitment project.
Bank may send call letters for written test, interview etc. through the registered e-mail ID.
Candidates should have the Branch Code Number & Deposit Journal Number (on receipt of payment of fees) from CBS branch of State Bank of India before applying online.
The payment of fees should be made on or before the 12.09.2009. This date will be same for the candidates belonging to far-flung areas.
Candidates should keep a copy of the Application printout and Payment Receipt (Deposit Journal Number) for their record. An 'Acquaint Yourself' booklet will be sent to the candidates along with the call letter for written test.
Candidates serving in Government/Quasi Government offices, Public Sector undertaking including Nationalised Banks and financial Institutions will be required to submit 'No Objection Certificate' from the employer at the time of interview, failing which their candidature may not be considered and travelling expenses, if any, otherwise admissible, will not be paid.
Original payment receipt will have to be submitted with the call letter at the time of written examination. Otherwise they will not be allowed to appear in the written examination.
The reserve category candidate will have to produce his/her original caste certificate/relevant certificates at the time of interview, failing which his/her candidature shall be cancelled and he/she will not be admitted for interview.
OBC candidates, availing reservation will have to produce OBC certificate with Non-creamy layer clause issued on or after 01.04.2009 at the time of interview.
Information relating to reservations based on caste/PWD/XS once filled at the time of registration will be final. No further changes will be allowed.
Candidates are advised to be very careful while filling the category (SC/ST/OBC/Gen etc.) and other details in the application.
Action against candidates found guilty of misconduct:
Candidates are warned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered, fabricated or should not suppress any material information while filling up on-line the application form.
At the time of written examination / interview, if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty of:
- Using unfair means during the examination or
- Impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person or
- Misbehaving in the examination hall or taking away the question booklet / answer sheet from the examination hall or
- Resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with his / her candidature for selection or
Obtaining support for his / her candidature by any means, such a candidate may, in addition to rendering himself / herself liable to criminal prosecution, also be liable:
- To be disqualified from the examination for which he / she is a candidate.
To be debarred, either permanently or for a specified period, from any examination or recruitment conducted by the Central Recruitment & Promotion Department, State Bank of India, Corporate Centre, Mumbai.
Note: The Bank would be analyzing the responses of a candidate with other appeared candidates to detect patterns of similarity.
On the basis of such an analysis, if it is suspected that the responses have been shared and scores obtained are not genuine/valid, the Bank reserves the right to cancel his/her candidature.
Steps for Applying:
- Applicant should be between 18 To 28 Years of age as on 01.10.2009.
Applicant should be 12th standard (10+2) Passed or Equivalent Qualification with 60% Marks (55% For Sc/St/Pwd/Xs) Or a Degree from a Recognised University (Graduation Level) with a Minimum of 40% Marks (35% For Sc/St/Pwd).
- Only Online Applications will be accepted.
Before Applying Candidate should go to any Cbs Branch of State Bank of India and Deposit Rs. 250/- (Rs. 50/- for Sc/St/Pwd/Xs Candidates) in Specific Account Number.
Collect the Receipt with Unique Branch Code Number and Deposit Journal Number given by the Bank.

www.sbi.co.in click the flashing “Recruitment in Clerical Cadre in Sbi”. Select “Apply Online”. enter your Personal Particulars and give the Unique Branch code number and Deposit Journal Number in the Payment Details. after filling all the Fields, Click the Submit Button, Registration Id & Password will appear. These may be noted for future reference. your application is Complete.
After Completion you may take a Printout of the completed application and keep the same alongwith the cash receipt received from the Branch. cash receipt will be Required to be submitted at the time of Written Test, Otherwise the Candidate will not be allowed to write the test.
No Printed Application needs to be sent to Bank.
