Technical Officer (Farm Sector) – S1:

Compensation package: Rs. 3.50 lac p.a. on CTC (Bank), of which 70% will be fixed pay and 30% will be variable pay.

Role: Marketing of SBI Agro-Products, pre-loan sanction, evaluation and recommendation, loan follow-up, monitoring and recovery.

  1. Surveying the area on ½ yearly basis to assess the potential of the activities in their area of specialization & giving leads to operating functionaries.
  2. Preparing area development schemes/ models schemes using techno-economic evaluation & processing high value proposals.
  3. Organize seminar / workshop for farmers for awareness of new technology.
  4. Guiding TOs (FS) & OMRs in technical & Marketing areas & co-ordinating the activities of TOs (Fs) in the circle.

Eligibility Criteria (as on 31.07.2009) Qualification / Post Qualification experience:

  1. Post Graduate from a recognized Institute / University in the disciplines mentioned in the above chart with minimum 70% marks (65% for SC, ST and PH candidate)
  2. As on 01.04.2009, the candidate should be minimum of 23 years age and maximum 32 years (Relaxation in upper age limit to reserved category candidates as per Govt. guidelines)
  3. Candidate must have fluency (read, write and speak) in the local language of the State where he is likely to be posted.
  4. Candidate should have Basic Computer Knowledge
  5. Minimum 3 years experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank in the field of marketing & evaluation of high value proposals related to agricultural & allied agricultural activities, preparation & successful implementation of area specific schemes in Agricultural & allied activities etc.
  6. Candidate should be willing to work for a contractual period of 2 years and should also be ready to join the job at a short notice.
