SBI Recruitment 2009 - Application Form
Candidates should have a valid e-mail ID
Eligible candidate should visit any CBS branch of State Bank of India & pay the requisite fee / Postage into the A/c 30783079351 and get receipt with Deposit Journal Number from the branch.
Application should be neatly typed or handwritten in English or Hindi on a fullscape size paper in the format given at the end ofthe advertisement. A recent passport size photograph bearing full signature of the candidate across the same with date, should be pasted at the right hand top corner at the space provided in the application. The application should be sent along with the original cash deposit receipt bearing Deposit Journal Number (Candidates copy) & attested copies of certificates/testimonials/ medical certificates to Post Box No. 7452, Jogeshwari (East), Mumbai – 400 060 by ordinary post. Application in any other form will not be entertained.
Last date for cash deposit will be 18.7.2009. Application received after the above dateswill be rejected. Cash deposited will neither be refunded nor be adjusted against any project.
Candidates will be required to fill their email ID and Cash Deposit Journal number correctly.
Candidates serving in Govt./Quasi Govt. offices, Public Sector undertakings including Nationlised Banks and Financial Institutions are advised to submit No Objection Certificate from the Employer at the time of interview, failing which their candidature may not be considered and travelling expenses, if any, otherwise admissible, will not be paid.
Enclosures to the applications:
School Leaving Certificate or any other documentary proof of age, or where applicable, copy of Discharge Certificate/Retirement, Pension Order and documentary proof of Rank last held.
Caste Certificate issued by Competent Authority prescribed by the Government of India in case of SC/ST candidates,
Candidates belonging to OBCs but coming in the ‘Creamy Layer’ are not entitled to OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as ‘GEN’ or ‘GEN PWD’ as applicable. OBC certificatein the format as prescribed by the Government of India and issued by the competent authority inter alia specifically stating that the candidate does not belong to the socially advanced sections excluded from the benefits of reservations for OBCs in civil posts and services under the Government of India i.e. carrying ‘Creamy Layer’ clause, based on the income for financial year 2008-09, issued on or after 1/4/2009, should be submitted.
PWD candidates claiming benefit of reservation/age relaxation should submit a copy of Medical certificate as specified in the Disabilities Act of 1995 in support of their disability,
Mark sheets and certificates in support of Educational Qualifications, e.g. Degree, Post-graduation, Professional Qualifications etc. (as the case may be) and
Experience Certificate(s), specifying Nature & Period of experience should be enclosed.
Attested copies of caste/community certificate, where applicable, must accompany the application. The candidates will have to produce their original caste certificate/relevant certificate before the interview takes place, failing which his/her candidature shall be cancelled and he/ she will not be admitted for interview.
Application should be sent in a cover superscribed “Application for the post of officers-Marketing and Recovery (Rural) - S1 or Technical Officer (Farm Sector) – S1 to reach Post Box No. 7452, Jogeshwari (East), Mumbai - 400 060 on or before 25.07.09 by ordinary post only.
Action against candidates found guility of misconduct:
Candidates are warned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered, fabricated or should not suppress any material information while filling up the application form.
At the time of interview, if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty of:
impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person
resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with his/her candidature for selection or
obtaining support for his/her candidature by any means, such a candidate may in addition to rendering himself/herself liable to criminal prosecution be liable to be debarred, either permanently or for a specified period, from any examination or recruitment conducted by the Central Recruitment & Promotion Dept., State Bank of India, Corporate Centre.
General Information:
While applying for any post, the applicant should ensure that he/she fulfils the eligibility and other norms mentioned above as on the specified dates and that the particulars by him/ her are correct in all respects. In case it is detected at any stage of recruitment that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility norms and /or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information or has suprised any material facts(s), his/her candidature will stand cancelled.If any, of these short comings is/are detected even after appointment,his/her services are liable to be terminated.
Outstation candidates called for Interview for the post of officer-Marketing & Recovery (Rural) – S1 are entitled to IInd class to & fro railway fare and those called for the post of Technical Officer (farm sector) – S1 are entitled to 1st class/AC-3 Tier to and fro railway fare by shortest route
Engagement of selected candidates is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank. Such engagement will also be subject to the service and conduct rules of the Bank.
Decision of central recruitment and promotion department in all amtters regarding eligibility,interview,selection and allotment would be final and binding on all candidates.No representation or correspondence will be entertained by the central recruitment and promotion department in this regard.
The selected candidates may be assigned any corresponding designation at the discretion of the Bank which may be different from the position advertised.
The Central Recruitment and Promotion Department takes no responsibility for any delay in receipt or loss in postal transit of any application or communication. The Central Recruitment and Promotion Department also takes no responsibility to connect any certificate / remittance sent separately. The candidates are advised not to send original certificate/ mark-sheet along with their applications.
As the applications are to be processed by a computerized system, it is essential that the application is strictly in accordance with the prescribed format and is properly/completely filled in and contains no corrections/alterations/over-writings. No column of the application should be left blank. Incomplete/defective applications, applications without photograph of the candidates, and the applications where declaration appearing at the bottom of the application form is not signed, shall be summarily rejected. No representation or correspondence regarding such rejection shall be entertained under any circumstances.
Depending upon the actual responses, bank may hold a written test on 30.08.09 for screening of the candidate’s ability & competency in the related areas to select a larger basket of candidates in the ratio for 1:3 for interview process. However, marks secured by the candidate will not be reckoned for arriving at the merit list for final selection.
The written test, if required may be held at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna & Ernakulam Centres. The Bank however, reserves the right to add, delete or allot any centre at its discretion.
Any legal proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this advertsiemetn and /or an application in response thereto can be instituted only in Mumbai and courts/tribunals/ forums at Mumbai only shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction to try any cause/dispute.
