State Bank of India Probationary Officers Recruitment 2010 Application Form

Candidates are required to go to any Branch of State Bank of India SBI and pay the amount of prescribed fees / postal charges and get receipt from the branch. The original receipt should be retained and produced at the time of SBI written test.

The candidates are required to SBI apply online through State Bank of India SBI website www.statebankofindia.com or www.sbi.co.in. No other means / mode of application will be accepted. The last date of registering SBI PO applications is 02.03.2010. Application registration on SBI website will be open from 01.02.2010 to 02.03.2010.

Guidelines for filling SBI PO Recruitment application form are as under:

Candidates should have a valid email id. This will help him / her in getting call letter / interview advices etc. by email.

Candidates should ensure that on deposit of fee, the branch issues to him / her a receipt which should invariably mention undernoted items: Journal number (7-10 digits), Branch Name, Branch code number and Date of deposit.

The payment of fees should be made between 01.02.2010 and 28.02.2010. This date will be same for the candidates belonging to far-flung areas.

Candidates should keep a copy each of the SBI Recruitment Application printout and Fee Receipt for their record. An 'Acquaint Yourself' booklet and bio-data form will be sent to the candidates along with the call letter for written test.

Candidates serving in Government / Quasi-Government offices, Public Sector undertaking including Nationalised Banks and Financial Institutions will be required to submit 'No Objection Certificate' from the employer at the time of SBI interview, failing which their candidature may not be considered and travelling expenses, if any, otherwise admissible, will not be paid. Original payment receipt and bio-data form will have to be submitted with the call letter at the time of written examination.

The reserve category candidate will have to produce his / her original caste certificate / relevant certificates issued by the competent authority along with a declaration for availing reservation of OBC on prescribed format at the time of interview, failing which his / her candidature shall be cancelled and he / she will not be admitted for interview.

OBC candidates, availing reservation will have to produce OBC certificate with "Non-creamy layer" clause issued on or before 28.02.2010, at the time of interview.

Note: The SBI Bank would be analyzing the responses of a candidate with other appeared candidates to detect patterns of similarity. On the basis of such an analysis, if it is suspected that the responses have been shared, the Bank reserves the right to cancel his / her candidature.

Any legal proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this SBI Recruitment advertisement and / or an application in response there to can be instituted only in Mumbai and courts / tribunals / forums at Mumbai only shall have sole & exclusive jurisdiction to try any clause / dispute.

Last date for registration of State Bank of India SBI online applications: 02.03.2010.

SBI Recruitment PO Application Fee and Postage: (Non Refundable) Can be deposited between 01.02.2010 and 28.02.2010 in any branch of State Bank of India.

Fee / Postal charges once paid will not be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.

SBI Bank may arrange pre-examination training at certain centres for a limited number of SC / ST / Religious Minority Community candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by Government of India.

Candidates belonging to the above categories who desire to avail themselves of such training at their own cost may indicate to that effect against relevant column while applying SBI online. An indicative list of training centres is given below:

The SBI Bank has a discretion to conduct training at some additional centres or the SBI Bank Recruitment may delete some of the centres indicated for training.

Action against candidates found guilty of misconduct:

Candidates are cautioned that they should not furnish any particulars that are false, tampered / fabricated and they should not suppress any material information while filling up the SBI Recruitment 2010 application form.

At the time of SBI written examination / interview, if a candidate is (or has been) found guilty of:

  1. Using unfair means during the SBI PO Examination 2010 Or
  2. Impersonating or procuring impersonation by any person Or
  3. Misbehaving in the examination hall or taking away the question booklet (or any part thereof)/answer sheet from the examination hall Or
  4. Resorting to any irregular or improper means in connection with his / her candidature for selection Or
  5. Obtaining support for his/her candidature by any unfair means, such a candidate may, in addition to rendering himself / herself liable to criminal prosecution, such candidate will also be liable:
  1. to be disqualified from the examination for which he / she is a candidate.
  2. to be debarred, either permanently or for a specified period, from any examination or recruitment conducted by SBI Bank.
  3. for termination of service, if he / she has already joined the SBI Bank.
