Shreyas Gramin Bank Recruitment 2009 Selection Procedure

Merely satisfying the eligibility norms do not entitle a candidate to be called for written test or interview. The selection of candidates shall be made on the basis of written test and interview. All the eligible candidates who apply and whose applications are received in time will be considered for selection process, which is as under:

Selection procedure for Officers:

  1. Procedure consisting of Written Examination & Interview.
  2. The Written Examination will consist of objective tests of Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness & English Language as detailed here below:

    4. English language 50 50 30 minutes

    Note:

    1. The marks obtained in first 3 papers will be reduced to 60% for the purpose of preparing merit list after the written examination.
    2. The candidate must obtain minimum of 35% marks (30% for SC/ST/OBC/ PWD) in each test.
    3. The test of English language is only a qualifying exam and one has to obtain minimum of 35% marks (30% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD).
  4. Marks obtained in the written test will be reckoned for merit ranking. Accordingly candidates will be called for interview. Depending upon number of vacancies, only a certain number of candidates from the candidates merit listed in the Written Examination will be called for Interview in the ratio of 1:4. Mere pass in the test shall not vest in any right for being called for interview.
  5. Final selection will be made on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination & Interview and will be strictly according to the merit.
  6. The Bank reserves the right to hold a second stage of examination if required on the basis of order of merit. If the second stage of written examination is held the subsequent process of interview and further process would be on the basis of order of merit in the second stage examination.

Selection procedure for Clerk cum Cashiers:

  1. Procedure consisting of Written Examination & Interview.
  2. The Written Examination will consist of objective tests of Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, English Language and Clerical Aptitude as detailed here below:

Written Test:

  1. The written test for the Specialist Officers Post will be held on Sunday 01.11.2009.
  2. The Written Test for the post of Clerk-cum-Cashiers will be held on Sunday 08.11.2009.
  3. The dates of examination are tentative. The exact dates will be communicated to the candidates through call letter for each examination. The Bank, however, reserves the right to cancel or make any change in the date of examination, if need arises.
  4. The Written test will be scheduled at the following Centers and the address of the Venue will be advised in the Call Letter:
  5. Name of the Centre:

    1. Aligarh (U.P.)
    2. Agra (U.P.)

The Bank, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the Centers and/ or add other Centers, depending on the response, administrative feasibility etc. The Bank also reserves the right to allot the Candidate any Center other than the one he/ she has opted for and the right to waive any of the criteria for selection looking at the requirement and exigencies.

Probation:

For Officers Two years
For Clerk-cum-Cashiers One year

Pre-examination Training:

It is proposed to impart free Pre- Examination Training to SC/ST/Minority Candidates at Aligarh for candidates who have applied for the post of Clerk cum Cashier (Post Code 4) only. Training center may also be changed at the discretion of the Bank. An eligible candidate who wishes to avail Pre-Examination Training should fill in the relevant column in the application format. All expenses regarding traveling, boarding, lodging etc will be borne by the candidate for attending the Pre- Examination Training programme at the concerned Training Center.
