Pallavan Grama Bank Recruitment 2009 Selection Procedure
Post Code - 1:
The selection will be made on the basis of performance in the Written Test and Interview. All the eligible candidates who apply with the requisite fee and whose applications are received in time and who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be called for a written test, which will be of Objective and Descriptive type comprising following tests.
Written Test for Pallavan Grama Bank:
(A) Objective Tests:
Duration : 150 minutes.

The candidates shall be required to qualify in each Objective Test separately. The candidates must obtain minimum of 35% (30% for SC / ST) in each test. Wrong answers given in the Objective Tests will result in negative marks.
(B) Descriptive Test:
It will consist of 5 compulsory questions, with internal options, to assess the candidate's knowledge about Socio - Economic Developments and Communication skills.
Marks secured in the descriptive test shall be reckoned only for qualifying purpose and shall not carry any weightage. The qualifying mark for descriptive test is a minimum of 35% marks (30% for SC / ST).
Note :
- Candidates have to answer the Descriptive Paper in Tamil only.
Candidates have to pass in each of the Objective and Descriptive tests separately and there will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective Tests.
Depending upon the number of vacancies, only those candidates, who rank sufficiently high in the objective test, will be called for interview. Mere eligibility / pass in the test shall not vest any right in a candidate for being called for interview.
Final selection will be on the basis of the ranking accorded after adding the marks obtained in the Objective Tests and Interview; the Descriptive Test is only a qualifying test.
The detailed information regarding the Written Examination will be given in the "Acquaint Yourself" booklet which will be sent to the candidates along with the call letter for the Written Examination.

Pre - Examination Training:
For SC / ST / Ex - servicemen / Minority Communities Candidates:
It is proposed to impart free Pre - Examination Training to candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes / EX - Serviceman / Religious Minority Community candidates at Salem. The bank has the discretion to conduct pre - examination training at any other centre / centres depending on need / circumstances.
An eligible candidate who wishes to avail of Pre - Examination Training should fill in the relevant column in the application format i.e. Item No.10. All expenses regarding travelling, boarding, lodging etc. has to be borne by the candidate for attending the pre - examination training programme at the Training Centre.
Pay Scale:
Post Code - 1: Rs. 10000 - 470/6 - 12820 - 500/3 - 14320 - 560/7 - 18240.
Post Code - 2: Rs. 4410 - 215/3 - 5055 - 335/3 - 6060 - 470/4 - 7940 - 500/3 - 9440 - 560/4 - 11680 - 970 - 12650 - 560 - 13210.
Note:
Dearness Allowance (DA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) and other admissible allowances will be payable, as per the rules of the Bank, depending upon the place of posting.
In addition, Conveyance, Medical Aid, LTC / LFC & Retirement Benefits are admissible, as per the rules of the Bank. In the case of Clerk cum Cashiers candidates who have completed Graduation at the time of joining will be given two additional increments.
Probation:
Post Code - 1: 2 to 3 Years.
Post Code - 2: 1 Year to 18 Months.
