Oriental Bank of Commerce Recruitment 2010 Eligibility
A. Nationality / Citizenship: A candidate must be either
- A citizen of India Or
- A subject of Nepal Or
- A subject of Bhutan Or
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India Or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination / interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.
B. Educational Qualification & Post Qualification Experience:
Note:
The candidate must possess the requisite educational qualification and post qualification experience as on 17/04/2010.
For posts where experience is essential / desirable, it should be full time.
Experience in the relevant field for the post applied for will only be counted.
- Computer Literacy:
The basic knowledge in operating computer systems in Windows mode, knowledge of MSWord / Office, Spread Sheets like MS-Excel and Internet & Email familiarity is an essential qualification which a candidate must either possess before joining the bank services or acquire the same within a period of 6 months of joining the bank, in case the candidate is selected for appointment.
For this purpose, the candidate is required to submit a certificate in support of this computer related qualification.
C. Age Limit for OBC Bank Recruitment 2010 : (As on 17/04/2010)
Minimum OBC Bank age limit 2010: 21 years
Maximum OBC Bank 2010 age limit: as mentioned in Clause 1
Relaxation in Upper OBC Age Limit 2010:
Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe Candidates by 5 years.
In the case of ex-servicemen and commissioned officers including ECOs / SSCOs who have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within the next one year from the last date for receipt of OBC application form other than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or on account of physical disability attributable to military service or on availment.
By 5 years for selection through written test and interview.
By 3 years plus period of service in Armed Forces for selection through interview only subject to ceiling as per Government guidelines.
Other Backward Classes candidates by 3 years.
All persons who have ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of J&K state during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 by 5 years.
- Physically Handicapped category candidates.
- By 15 years for SC / ST
- By 13 years for OBC
- By 10 years for General.
All persons eligible for age relaxation under (iv) above must produce the domicile certificate at the time of interview, from the District Magistrate in the Kashmir Division within whose jurisdiction he / she had ordinarily resided or any other authority designated in this regard by the Government of J&K, to the effect that the candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the state of J&K during 1st January 1980 to the 31st day of December 1989.
