NMGB Recruitment 2009 Selection Procedure
The selection of the candidates shall be made on the basis of written test and interview. All the eligible candidates who apply with the requisite fee and whose applications are properly filled and received in time will be called for a written test.
The composition of the written test will be as follows.

All the questions of the test shall be printed in English only.
Note:
The marks obtained in first three papers will be reduced to 60% for the purpose of preparing merit list after the written examination. The test of English language will not be counted for merit/ranking.
The candidates must obtain minimum of 35 % marks (30% for SC/ST) in each test.
The test of English language is only a qualifying exam and one has to obtain minimum of 35% marks (30% for SC/ST).
Candidates obtaining sufficiently high ranks in the written test will be called for interview in the ratio of 1:4 depending upon the actual number of vacancies finalised by the Bank. Relaxation to the extent of 5% in marks will be granted to candidates belonging to SC/ST category in written test as well as interview. Mere eligibility/pass in the test shall not vest any right in a candidate for being called for interview. Bank reserve the right to hold second stage written examination if required on the basis of the order of merit in written examination of the first stage as above. If so, the subsequent process of interview and further process would be on the basis of order of merit secured in second stage examination.
The agency for conducting written test is IBPS, Mumbai.
For considering final selection, marks obtained in written test and interview will be added up. 40 marks are allotted for interview of which minimum 50% (20 marks) should be acquired by a candidate for considering for selection. (5% relaxation to SC/ST is available).
Test Centres and Date of Examination: Written test is proposed to be held tentatively on 25.10.2009 at following Centres.
Kannur (11), Kasaragod (12), Ernakulam (13), Kottayam (14), Alappuzha (15) & Kollam (16). (Centre Code given in brackets)
Pay Scale: Rs.10000 - 470/6 - 12820 - 500/3 - 14320 - 560/7 - 18240.
Note: DA, HRA and CCA will be payable as per rules depending upon the place of posting. Medical Aid, LTC, Gratuity, will be admissible as per Bank's Rules.
Probation: 2 years.
Pre Examination Training: Pre Examination training programme for SC/ST/Minority community candidates will be organised at the specific request of the candidates. No travelling/halting allowances will be paid by the Bank.
