3) Educational Qualifications for North Malabar Gramin Bank Exam 2008(As on 01.12.2007)
Post Code 1:
a) Degree of recognised University in any discipline or its equivalent with 60% marks (55% in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates).
b) Knowledge in English and proficiency in Malayalam is essential.
c) Certificate in MS Word and MS Excel is essential.
d) Candidates with higher qualifications in Computer/Accounting/Management will get preference.
Post Code 2:
a) A degree from any recognised University in any discipline or its equivalent with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC) in aggregate.
b) A pass in Higher Secondary School examination of 10+2 or 10+2+3 pattern/11thstandard of 11+3 pattern/Pre-degree or intermediate or any equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC) in aggregate.
c) Pass with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC) in aggregate in Matriculation/Senior School Certificate (old pattern) or equivalent.
d) Diploma in Banking recognised by State or Central Government is preferred.
e) Proficiency in local language (Malayalam) is essential.
f) Knowledge of English is preferred.
g) Certificate in MS Word and MS Excel is essential.
h) Candidates with higher qualifications in Computer/Accounting/Management will get preference.
04. Age Limit (For Post Code 1 & 2):
Between 20 years and 26 years (as on 01.12.2007)
Note: Relaxation in upper age limit will be considered in the case of applicants belonging to following categories.
i) Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates by 5 years.
ii) Other Backward Classes candidates by 3 years.
iii) Persons with disability :
a) by 15 years for SC/ST (including 04 (i) above).
b) by 13 years for OBC (including 04 (ii) above) and
c) by 10 years for General.
iv) In the case of Ex-servicemen and commissioned Officers including ECOs/SCOs who have rendered at least 5 years Military service and have been released on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within the next one year from the last date for receipt of application) other than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or on account of physical disability attributable to military service relaxable by 5 years (in addition to the usual period of service in defence forces) subject to maximum age of 50 years as per Government guidelines.
Note:1 An Ex-serviceman who has once joined a Govt.job on the Civil side after availing of the benefits given to him as an Ex-serviceman for his re employment including a job in public sector undertaking ceases to enjoy Ex-serviceman status for further employment.
2) The relaxation in upper age limit is cumulative, as per Government guidelines.
05. Application fee including postal charges (non refundable) (For both Posts):
For SC/ST/PWD candidates : Rs. 50/- for each post
For all others : Rs. 200/- for each.post
Note: 1) Requisite application fee must be paid only by means of Account Payee crossed Bank Pay Order/Bank Demand Draft issued by a Scheduled Bank payable at Kannur in favour of "North Malabar Gramin Bank - Recruitment Project - 2008."
2) Candidates should write his/her name and address on the reverse of the Demand Draft/Pay Order.
3) Bank Demand Draft/Bank Pay Order must be purchased on or after the date of advertisement but on or before the last date for receipt of application.
4) Payment by cash/cheque/money order/IPO etc.will not be accepted
