Age: Not below 18 years and not above 28 years as on 01.01.2009

1. SC/ST - by 5 years
2. OBC - by 3 years
3. VH/HI/OH - by 10 years
4. XSM - by 3 years (in addition to the actual period of service in the Defence forces subject to a maximum age of 50 years)
5. Widows. Divorced women and Women Judiciously separated from their husbands, who have not remarried – by 9 years subject to a maximum of 35 years for General Category and 40 years for SC/ST Category.
6. Persons ordinarily domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu and Kashmir during the period from 1.1.80 to 31.12.89 – by 5 years (Certificate to this effect from the competent authority to be produced at the time of interview).

Note: In case of a candidate who is eligible for relaxation under more than one of the above categories, the age relaxation will be available on cumulative basis with any one of the remaining categories for which age relaxation is permitted as mentioned above. This cumulative age relaxation is available to SC/ST/OBC candidates only.

Probation:

On appointment, candidates will be on probation for a minimum period of 6 months. on successful completion of the probation, and found if suitable, they will be confirmed in the services of the Bank.
