Corporation Bank Recruitment 2009 Eligibility
(A) Nationality/Citizenship
A candidate must be either
- A citizen of India or
- A subject of Nepal or
- A subject of Bhutan or
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) or (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificates have been issued to him by the Government of India.
(B) Educational Qualification and Post Qualification Experience
Note:
For posts where experience is essential / desirable, it should be full time and will be counted from the date of acquiring the prescribed qualification upto the date of application,
- Educational Qualifications and Post Qualification Experience should be as on the date of application,
- Experience in the relevant field of the post applied for, will only be counted,
- Candidates whose result is awaited are not eligible.
Post Code No. 01 - Chief Manager (Official Language (Smg Scale iv):
Educational Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Hindi with English as a subject at Degree level OR Post Graduate Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at Degree level with atleast 2nd Class (with a minimum 50%) degree from any recognized University.
Experience: Minimum of 16 years of experience in translation from English to Hindi and vice versa in a full time post in a Banking/Financial Institutions/reputed organization out of which a minimum of 10 years as Officer/Manager.
Essential: Should be well versed with the 0 L Policy of the Government of India and should have editing experience of magazines etc.
Post Code No. 02 - Chartered Accountant (MMG Scale III):
Educational Qualification: A second class graduate from a recognized University and a pass in the CA examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in India.
CA shall be better equipped to deal with better Tax Planning apart from tax compliances.
Experience: 3 years relevant experience in reputed private/public sector institutions is essential. Persons with exposure to Bank Audit may be preferred.
Post Code No. 03 & 04 - Foreign Exchange Dealer (MMG Scale lll/ll):
Educational Qualification: Graduate with minimum of 55% or more marks from a recognized University.
Desirable: Post Graduation with Foreign Exchange/ International Trade/ International Business/International Banking/Import Export Policy/International Finance/ Foreign Trade/Export Management as a specialized subject, Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance/International Banking with Project work in International Banking, CA/CAIIB/CFA/MBA [Finance] would be preferred. Basic Computer knowledge is desirable.
Experience: 4 years plus experience in an active Treasury (Domestic / forex) of a Public Sector/Private/Foreign Bank/ Financial Institution of which minimum of 2 years (in case of Scale II) and 3 years [in case of Scale III] experience in forex treasury in trading/dealing in front office.
Candidates possessing specialization in particular areas of Treasury Operations including Risk Management/ Derivatives would be given weightage provided the candidate is found to display a good understanding of the area and not merely a qualification in the subject.
Candidates with all round knowledge and experience in trading in all major Treasury Products - both domestic and forex including derivatives and having thorough knowledge of foreign exchange accounting principles are preferred.
Candidates selected may also be posted outside the country.

Educational Qualification:
- First Class degree (60%) from a recognized University or
Degree from a recognized University with a pass in CA/ICWA/ACS/CFA/MBA (Finance). Basic computer knowledge will be preferred.
Experience:
5 years experience in Credit Appraisal/Credit Analysis in Banks/ Financial Institutions/Public/Private Sector Undertakings.
Post Code No. 06 Credit Officer (MMG Scale II):
Educational Qualification: First Class degree (60%) from a recognized University
- With a pass in Intermediate Examination conducted by ICAI, ICWA, ACS or
- With a Post Graduate degree with specialization in Maths/Finance/ Marketing. Basic computer knowledge will be preferred.
Experience: 2 year experience in Credit Appraisal/Credit Analysis in Banks/ Financial Institutions/Public/Private Sector Undertakings.
Post Code No. 07 - Computer Officer (JMG Scale I):
Educational Qualification: B.E / B.Tech degree (with minimum 55% marks) in Computer Science/Electronics/ Information Technology/Communication Engineering from a recognized University.
Post Code No. 08 - Agricultural Field Officer (Jmg Scale I):
Educational Qualification: Graduation in Agriculture/ Agricultural Engineering/Agricultural Marketing / Horticulture/ Forestry/Fisheries/Bio Technology (with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA/OGPA) from a recognized University. Knowledge in spoken Kannada/Telugu/Tamil is preferred.
Post Code No. 09 - Marketing Officer (JMG Scale I):
Educational Qualification: Graduate (with minimum 50% marks) in Business Management or in any other stream from a recognized University and]
MBA (Marketing/Finance) degree (with minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average) from a recognized University/Institute OR
Post Graduate Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Management with Marketing/Finance as a specialized subject (with minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average) from recognized University/Institute OR
Post Graduate qualification (Degree/Diploma) in specialized field of Financial Planning/Advising or Wealth Management Services (with minimum 60% marks or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average) from a recognized institute of high repute. working knowledge of computers (M.S. Office-Word/Excel & Power Point) is desirable. Candidates who have cleared IRDA / AMFI / NSDL will be preferred.
Post Code No. 10 - Industrial Development Officer (JMG Scale I):
Educational Qualification: Graduate with 55% or more marks in Engineering in Mechanical/Electrical/Textiles/Chemical/Metallurgical/lnstrumentation/Production/Civil/Electronics/Telecommunication/Automobile Engineering from a University/Institute recognized by Goverment, of India OR Post Graduate in any one of the above disciplines.
Working knowledge of computers (M.S. Office - Word/Excel & Power Point) is desirable.
