Clerical Eligibility for Bihar Kshetriya Gramin Bank Recruitment 2010
A. Nationality / Citizenship:
Candidate must be a Citizen of India & should be a domicile of Bihar.
The candidate should have proficiency in local language i.e. Hindi.
B. Clerical Qualifications for Bihar Kshetriya Gramin Bank Recruitment 2010 (As on 01.02.2010):
Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or, its equivalent Or A pass in Higher Secondary School Examination of 10+2 or 10 + 2 + 3 pattern /11th Std. of 11 +3 pattern / Pre-degree or Intermediate or any equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in case of General candidates and 45% in case of SC / ST Or Diploma in Banking recognized by Central / State governments or Union Territory Or Pass with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in Matriculation / SSC (old pattern) / 10 + 2 + 3 pattern or equivalent in case of General Category candidates and 55% in case of SC / ST.
Proficiency in Hindi is essential. Knowledge of English is required.
Preference will be given to candidates with Computer knowledge like knowledge in Windows, MS Office, Networking etc.
C. Age Limit for Bihar Kshetriya Gramin Bank Recruitment 2010 (As on 01.02.2010): Minimum - 18 Years, Maximum - 26 Years.
Relaxable in case of SC / ST / OBC / PWD / Ex-servicemen as per Government's Guidelines as given below:
SC / ST candidates by 5 years.
OBC by 3 years.
VH / Hl / OH by 10 years.
Ex-Serviceman: 3 years (8 years for disabled ex-serviceman belonging to SC / ST) in addition to the usual period of service in the Defence forces subject to a maximum age of 50 years.
An ex-serviceman who has once joined a Government job on civil side after availing of the benefits given to him as Ex-serviceman for his re-employment including a job in the Public Sector Undertaking ceases to enjoy ex-serviceman status for further employment.
Widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands who have not remarried (subject to maximum age limit of 35 years for General & 40 years for SC / ST candidates).
All persons who have ordinarily been domiciled in Kashmir Division of J & K State during 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989 by 5 years.
Relaxation in upper age limit is cumulative as per Government guidelines.
Above relaxation are available only if the candidates fulfill the various conditions prescribed in the Govt. of India orders and instructions in this regard. To claim age relaxation, reserved category candidates should submit a copy of the Community Certificate.
D. Reservation for Persons with disabilities:
a. The definitions of the Visually Handicapped (VH), Hearing Impaired (HI) and Orthopaedically Handicapped (OH) are as prescribed in "The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights & Full Participation) Act, 1995".
Candidates with following disabilities are eligible to apply as per the definitions given in the above Act.
- Blindness
- Low Vision
- Hearing Impairment
- Locomotor Disability or Cerebral Palsy
The Visually Handicapped candidates and candidates whose writing speed is affected by cerebral palsy can use own scribe during the written examination. In all such cases where a scribe is used, the following rules will apply:
The candidate will have to arrange his own scribe at his/her own cost.
The academic qualification of the scribe should be at least one grade lower than the minimum stipulated eligibility criteria.
The scribe should possess 60% or less marks in his own Academic Stream. The scribe may be from any academic stream.
Both the candidate as well as the scribe will have to give a suitable undertaking, confirming that the scribe fulfils all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a scribe as mentioned above. Further, in case it later transpires that he did not fulfill any of the laid down eligibility criteria or suppressed material facts, the candidature of the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective of the result of the written test.
Such candidates Who use a scribe shall be eligible for extra time of 20 minutes for every hour of the examination.
b. It is clarified that physically challenged candidates will have to work in branches / offices which have posts identified by the Bank, as suitable for them.
