Bank of Baroda Recruitment (Clerical Cadres) - Selection Procedure
Selection will be on the basis of performance in Written Test and Interview.
Details of Written Test and Interview are as under:
A) Written Test:
All eligible candidates will be called for a Written Test which will be of Objective type. The Objective Test consists of
- Reasoning ability
- Numerical Ability
- Clerical Aptitude
- English
- Socio-Economic,
Banking Awareness and Computer Awareness. There will be negative marks for the wrong answers in the Objective Test. Candidates will have to pass in each of the Objective Test.
Candidates shall have the option to answer the Tests Paper either in English or Hindi.
Depending upon the number of candidates against the vacancies, the Bank would call for interviews in the ratio of 1:3/1:4 as the case may be provided the SC/ST/PWD candidates have secured minimum 35% marks and other candidates have secured minimum 40% marks in the written test.
Final selection will be on the basis of the ranking accorded after adding the marks obtained in the Written Test and Interview.
Other detailed information regarding the written examination will be given in the "Acquaint Yourself" booklet which will be made available to the candidate along with the call-letter.
The Bank reserves the right, if required to hold a second stage of written test on the basis of order of merit in the written examination of first stage, as referred above.
If the second stage of written test is held, the subsequent process of interview and further process would be on the basis of order of merit of the second stage examination.
The Written Test will bre held at the following Centres and the address of the venue will be advised in the call letters: Ahmedadad, Bangalore, Baroda, Bhubaneshwar, bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Ernakulam, Guwahati, Haldwani, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai & Raipur.
Note: The Bank may depending upon number of applications decide to add or delete any of the Centres for Written Test.
B) Interview :-
Those short listed candidates in the order of ranking in the written test as per the cut-off marks detailed above in para 6AŠ shall be called for interview & the decision of the Bank in this regard shall be final.
Pre-Examination Training:-
(For SC/ST/PWD/ Minority Community Candidates Only):
It is proposed to impart Pre-Examination Training to a limited number of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Person with Disability/Minority Communities at Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai centres at the discretion of the Bank.
An eligible candidate who wishes to avail of Pre-Examination Training should fill in the relevant column in the Online Application.
All expenses regarding travelling, boarding, lodging etc. will be borne by the candidate for attending the pre-examination training programme at the concerned Centres.
Application Fee (Including Postage Charges) (Non-refundable):-
For SC/ST/PWD candidates - Rs. 50/- (towards postage charges only).
For all others - Rs.200/- (including postage charges of Rs.50/-). Requisite Application Fee to be sent by Demand Draft/Banker's Cheque favouring "Bank of Baroda - Recruitment of Clerical Staff - Project- 2008" payable at 'Mumbai' only. Candidate's Name, Registration Number and Date of Birth should be written on the reverse of the Demand Draft / Banker's Cheque
No other financial instrument like Cheques/ Money Orders/ Postal Orders / Postal Stamps etc. is acceptable. Such applications will be rejected.
Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fees once paid will NOT be refunded on any count nor can it be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
An application not accompanied by requisite fee as indicated in clause (a) & (b) above, will not be entertained.
Call Letters for the Written Examination:-
The date of the Written Test is Tentatively Fixed as 30.11.2008 (Sunday). However, it will be intimated in the Call Letter along with the Centre/Venue for the Examination, well in advance of the date of the Written Examination.
All eligible candidates will be issued call-letters at the correspondence address given by them in their online application which will be sent by post. Email advices will also be sent if email address is available.
Candidates who do not receive call-letter latest by 22.11.2008 should contact in person at the address.
Demand Draft details, copy of Demand Draft receipt Decision of the Bank in respect of all matters pertaining to this recruitment would be final and binding on all candidates.
