Bank of Maharashtra - Educational Qualifications



2. Educational Qualifications & Post Qualification Work Experience (as on 01.01.2008):

Probationary Officer (a) A First Class Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade OR
(b) A Second Class Master's Degree with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade OR
(c) Chartered / Cost Accountant / company Secretary (ACS) with a Bachelor’s Degree OR
(d) Post Graduate Diploma in Management.
Relaxation in Educational Qualification for SC/ ST/ PC/Ex-Servicemen categories :
(a) A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
(b) A Masters degree with a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent grade. OR
(c) Chartered / Cost Accountant / company Secretary (ACS) with a Bachelor's Degree OR
(d) Post Graduate Diploma in Management
NIL
Forex Officers A Graduate degree in Finance / Banking with 55% marks and/or Post Graduate Degree in Finance / Post Graduate Diploma in Management/ Masters in Business Administration / Masters in Finance & Control / Masters in Management Studies from a recognized University / Institute. For SC/ST/PC/Ex-Servicemen A Gradudate degree in Finance / Banking with 50% marks AND/OR Post Graduate Degree in Finance / Post Graduate Diploma in Management / Masters in Business Administration / Masters in Finance & Control / Masters in Management Studies from a recognized University / Institute. Minimum 2 years Supervisory experience in a Bank / Branch (Category ‘B’ branch) dealing in FOREX (Monitoring of International Trade Finance, Guarantees, L/Cs, Remittances etc. & overall operational FOREX Dept.)
Dealers for Treasury Domestic and FOREX Post Graduation in Finance with minimum 55% marks from a recognized University / reputed Institute OR MBA (Finance) / chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification. For SC/ST/PC/Ex-Servicemen Post Graduation in Finance with minimum 50% marks from a recognized University / reputed Institute OR MBA (Finance) / Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification. Minimum 2 years Supervisory experience in respective Dealing Room of any Scheduled Commercial Bank / Financial institution.
Financial AnalystMBA with specialization in Finance OR Chartered Accountants OR ICWA.Minimum 2 years Supervisory experience in a Bank.
Economists1st Class Post Graduate in Economics with 60% marks or equivalent grade. For SC/ST/PC/Ex-Servicemen A Post Graduate in Economics with 55% marks or equivalent grade. Minimum 2 years Supervisory experience in a Bank or 2 years of Research work.
Chartered Accountants Chartered Accountants Minimum 2 years Supervisory experience in a Bank.

The Educational Qualifications prescribed for the post are the minimum. Candidates must possess these qualifications and must attach proof thereof along with the computer Print-Out.

The work experience, wherever, required should be relevant to the post applied for and should be post qualification i.e. it will be counted from the date of acquiring the prescribed qualification.

3. Application Fee and / or Postal Charges for Each Post (Non Refundable ):

Note:

Candidates can apply for more than one post. They must, however, register on-line for each post separately and must send the Print-Out of the registered application accompanied by separate fee and separate attested copies of required certificates etc.

Application fee should be paid by a single Demand Draft / Bankers’ Cheque issued by a Scheduled Commercial Bank for each post separately to be drawn as below –

“Bank of Maharashtra Recruitment Account – Probationary Officers Project 2008” payable at Pune.
“Bank of Maharashtra Recruitment Account – Specialist Officers Project 2008” payable at Pune.

Candidate must write his/ her name, date of birth, address & Post Code on the reverse side of the Bank Draft/ Bankers’ Cheque.

The DD should not be dated before 18.2.2008 and not after 17.3.2008. Even if Bank extends the date of on-line registration by one or two days, the valid dates of Demand Drafts will not be changed. Valid dates of DDs also remain the same for far-flung areas.

Payment of application fee by Cash / Cheques / Money Orders etc will not be accepted.

Application once made will not be allowed to be withdrawn and fees once paid will not be refunded on any account nor can it be held in reserve for any other selection process.
