Eligibility Criteria:
Nationality / Citizenship: A candidate must be either:
a citizen of India or
a subject of Nepal or
a subject of Bhutan or
a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st Jan. 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India.
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Govt. of India.
Minimum Qualification:
Colonel and above in Army or person of equivalent rank in Navy/ Air Force. Or
A Police Officer of the rank of Deputy Inspector General or a person of equivalent rank in paramilitary services. Or
Security Officers in Public Sector Banks in Senior Management Grade Scale-IV with at least 2 years of service in that scale. Or
Officers of IPS of the rank of DIG and above on deputation for a period of 3 years, extendable up to 5 years with approval of the Government.
Selection Procedure:
The selection of the Candidates will be made on the basis of performance in interview. Depending on the number of applications received, the Bank reserves the right to call only requisite number of candidates for interview after preliminary screening and short listing of applications with reference to their qualifications, experience and suitability. Mere satisfying the eligibility norms do not entitle a candidate to be called for interview.
