2.Eligibility Criteria for Andhra Bank Probationary Clerks Specialist Officer Exams

2.1 Nationality / Citizenship

A candidate must be either

  • A citizen of India or
  • A subject of Nepal or
  • A subject of Bhutan or
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st Jan. 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination / interview conducted by the IBPS/Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Govt. of India.

Interested and eligible employees of Andhra Bank may also apply through proper channel.

2.2 Educational qualifications and Post-qualification Work Experience

Note:

a)The Educational qualifications prescribed for the post are the minimum.Candidates must possess the requisite qualifications as on 01.07.2007 and must attach proof, i.e., attested photocopies of the Provisional Pass / Degree Certificate and Mark sheet.Wherever work experience is specified, it is essential to possess the relevant experience and it should be full time, relevant to the post applied for and should be post-qualification, i.e. it will be counted from the date of acquiring the prescribed qualification and up to 01.07.2007.

b)In addition to the educational qualification prescribed , computer knowledge is also essential for all posts.

I T Officer MMGS IISame as aboveMinimum 2 years experience in IT environment
Law Officer MMGS IIGraduation in Law ( 3 Years or 5 year integrated course) with I Class with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA

A) Active practice at the Bar for 5 years or as Law Officer in legal department in a Commercial Bank / Financial Institution with a minimum of 5 years, of which a minimum of 2 years should be as an Active Practicing Advocate.

B)The Active practice should be with special reference to Banking.

C)The candidate should also have exposure in Documentation, Title Scrutiny, Debt Recovery , Securitization, Reconstruction of Financial Assets, Arbitration and related work

Manager - HR MMGS II
MBA (HR) / MA (HRM) / MA (Social Work with specialization in PM & IR ) with I Class with 60% marks or equivalent CGPA
Min 2 Years as Officer in HRM in Banks / Fin. Insts / PSUs
CLERKS
Graduation in any discipline or 10 + 2 Examination or equivalent with I class with 60% marks. Knowledge of Official Language of the State / UT to which the candidate applies is essential.
