Pay Scale: - Rs.5000-150-8000/-

Essential Qualification:-

1. Diploma of Any one of the institutions mentioned in appendix 'B' at the end of the Advertisement,
2. Ability to read and write Hindi in Devnagari Script with ease. In support of which the candidate will be required to produce a certificate from the Head of the Institution or from which he passed out or from the Collector of a District in Uttar Pradesh. The candidate need not produce this certificate if he passed his High School or an equivalent examination with Hindi.

Preferential Qualification :-

1. Candidates who has served in the territorial Army for Minimum period of two years, or
2. Who have obtained a 'B' Certificate of National Cadet Corps.
3. Who have completed one year apprenticeship successfully shall, other thing being equal be given preference in the matter of direct recruitment.

Age:- 21 to 35 years. Upper age relaxation will be given for reserved category candidates of UP.as per rule.

The upper age limit will be greater by one year for those candidate, who are trainee, apprenticeship.

Further provided that the candidate must have attained the minimum age on the first day of July 2009 and must not be of the maximum age on that day as per provision of UP. Service amendment (Age limit fifth amendment) Rules 1984.

List of institutions the diplomas of which shall be recognized for recruitment to the Subordinate Electrical Engineering Service of the Public Works Department, Uttar Pradesh.

2. Government Technical Institute, Gorakhpur.
3. Government Technical Institute, Jhansi.
4. Technical College, Dayalbagh, Agra.
5. Banaras Hindu University.
6. Aligarh Muslim University.
7. Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute, Bombay.
8. Maclagan Engineering School, Moghalpura, Lahore.
9. College of Engineering, Sibpur, Bengal.
10. City and Guilds of London, provided that candidate has three years' practical experience in a recognized Workshop or Mill.
11. Kala Bhawan Technical Institute, Baroda.
12. Three-year All India Diploma in Electrical Engineering awarded by the All-India Council for Technical Education, Government of India.
